Company Founder, Artist and Master Designer
- Edwin Lashley
Edwin Lashley is an artist with a bachelor's degree in metal sculpture and color theory from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Originally from South Carolina, Edwin studied many mediums of art from painting, drawing, ceramics, jewelry making, and especially sculpture.
Since 1990, Edwin has worked in many facets of the Special Events industry. He also served on the board of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ILEA (International Live Events Association - formerly known as ISES) for 10 years. In 1998 he started his first company, Metallic Design Studio, Inc., creating custom metalwork for clients in the Special Events Indusrty as well as Interior Designers. Edwin has won many industry awards for the exemplary products and creative solutions he has produced over the years. In 2003 he launched a product line he invented called the "Vertical Buffet" - a screen system for foodservice display, as an alternative to the traditional banquet tables with linens.
In 2013 Edwin joined the team with Legendary Events in Atlanta as Assitant Creative Director, and then moved on to start a Scenic Design division of ON Event Services as Director of Scenic Design. With the desire to get back to his own fabrication business, Edwin launched Valiant Creations, LLC in January of 2019. Far more expansive than just metalworking, Valiant Creations encompasses the totality of custom fabrication to provide functional and creative solutions on a giant scale to his clientele across the United States.
